Kia Catalytic Converters

Catalytic Converters are important to Kia cars because they reduce pollution that is caused by exhaust gases in car engines. Since every car since 1975 has come with a Catalytic converter any new Kia will have one. The converter will treat harmful gases before they exit through the tailpipe.

Kia converters have two catalysts. The first is the reduction and the second one is the oxidation catalyst. You may need to replace your catalytic converter if it beings to fail because it has become clogged or because it has become poisoned.
